On September 19, the 2026 Jiangsu Provincial Vocational Skills Competition for New‑Energy Vehicle Maintenance opened at the Second Plant of Jiangsu Yueda Kia. Xu Huaming, Deputy Director of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, declared the competition open. Zang Chong, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of the Group, delivered an address.

In his address, Zang Chong pointed out that oriented toward promoting the craftsman spirit and fostering a high‑caliber skilled workforce, the competition serves as a key initiative for the province’s new‑energy vehicle industry to cultivate talent and deepen the integration of technology and industry. He urged all contestants to strictly abide by competition rules, respect judges and fellow participants, and treat every system check, fault analysis and meticulous troubleshooting as real‑world practice for end‑user services, demonstrating their dedication to excellence and enterprising spirit. He called on all sectors of society to jointly build high‑quality platforms for skilled talents to showcase their abilities and hone their expertise, foster a sound social atmosphere that honors labor, values skills and celebrates innovation, and build momentum for the high‑quality development of Jiangsu’s automobile industry.

Guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, this competition is co‑hosted by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Yueda Group. It comprises theoretical knowledge tests and practical skill assessments, covering two modules: diagnosis and troubleshooting of new‑energy vehicle malfunctions, and diagnosis and troubleshooting of new‑energy vehicle body electrical faults. Contestants from Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou and other cities took part in the event.
